How this is worked out

No hidden fudge factor. This is the whole calculation.

  1. Length times width gives the area in square feet.
  2. That area is divided by 450 square feet, which is what one covers, to give the pallets.
  3. A 5% allowance is added on top for cuts, offcuts and odd shapes.
  4. The total rounds up, since you cannot buy part of a pallet.
